The Chair

Museum of Modern Artのウェブサイトにある「1つと3つの椅子」（ジョセフ・コスース）の画像から椅子の大きさ、形を想定して原寸大で再現した。「One and Three Chairs」は椅子の概念や意味を作品としており、情報自体が作品となっている。本作はコスースの作品の情報性のみを切り出して「1つと3つの椅子」を拡張する試みである。

Based on the image of “One and Three Chairs” (Joseph Kosuth) on the Museum of Modern Art website, I estimated the size and shape of the chair and recreated it at full scale. “One and Three Chairs” takes the concept and meaning of a chair as its subject, making information itself the work. This work attempts to extend “One and Three Chairs” by extracting only the informational aspect of Kosuth’s work.
