ペーパークラフトのあり方は、まるで3Dモデルによる立体物のようである。そこに質量も機能もなく、表層にイメージがあるだけの物体である。私たちが見ている風景は表面の連続で作られており、そこに広がるのは表層のイメージである。
3Dのゲームの世界は立体的でありながら、物には本来の意味も機能も質量もない空間である。そして私たちが視覚から得るイメージは、それと非常によく似ている。

A paper craft is like a 3D model: it has no mass and no function, and is simply an object with an image on its surface. The landscape we see is made of a series of surfaces, and what spreads out there is the image of the surface layer.
The world of a 3D game is three-dimensional, yet it is a space where things have no original meaning, function, or mass. And the images we take in through our eyes are very similar to it.
