モデルルーム Model Room

あらゆる家具にテクスチャが貼られ、オシャレさを演出し、カフェの床面さえも木のふりをした印刷物である。そんな生活を送る中で、フェイクが当たり前だという感覚が無意識に培われていた。

それはまるで、物事の表層だけで判断し、深く踏み込まず流すように消費する情報の受け取り方をする、今の私たちの態度にも現れているのかもしれない。

本作はペーパークラフトの要領で制作した表面的なテクスチャだけの家財道具で構成されている。表層だけの家財道具は、生活の中に溶け込み、私たちのリアルを薄く浅いものにしていく。

Living a life in which every piece of furniture is covered in texture to look stylish, and even the café floor is a print pretending to be wood, I had unconsciously come to take fakes for granted.

This may also show in our attitude today: judging things only by their surface, never going deeper, and consuming information as if letting it flow past.

This work consists of household furnishings made like paper crafts, with nothing but surface textures. These surface-only furnishings blend into everyday life and make our reality thin and shallow.
