Google Street View

The scenery from Google Street View photographs of the area near the venue is laid out inside a glass case.
When we look at things or scenery, the only information we get is their surface. Looking at wood, we can confirm no more than that it looks like wood. If we touched it, we might feel the roughness particular to the material and conclude that it is wood, but by looking alone we can judge only from its surface.
Printed wood grain is often applied to the shelves and walls around us. Textures are sometimes applied to the walls of buildings as well.
It is as if we were looking at the textures of a realistically made game city.
The reality of a game city emerges from placing the images that form its scenery. As a result, textures alone behave like urban space. And the scenery of the cities we live in is, likewise, an image that results from a collection of various images.
Google Street View is an archive of such urban images.
